[EBB Sightings] RE: Bats

Hi, all.
  If anyone is interested in finding out more about
bats and bat houses, let me know. I'm pretty sure that
the Rockridge Branch of the Oakland Library is going
to host the "bat lady" sometime in the not-too-distant
future--and I can let you know details as I become
aware of them. Her presentations are informative and
fun--she usually brings 2 or 3 live bats, as well as
slides and plans for bat houses. 
  As Susan pointed out, bats are a very important part
of a healthy ecosystem. Given the incursion of the
West Nile virus, their consumption of mosquitoes is
even more beneficial.
