A lovely (and noisy) adult black skimmer was just 1/4 mile from the
Toll Booth at the east end of the Dumbarton booth on Sunday at 3 p.m.

The trail is marked "closed" from the toll booth end. I got there from
the park headquarters end, biking all the way out then following the
trail to the left (but where it rejoins the mainland, turning right
    directly towards Hwy. 84).

There was a long narrow exposed area parallel to the trail. Lots of
avocets, marbled godwits, and willets, and a few smaller birds. Was a
common murre here 3 weeks ago.
