[EBB Sightings] Green Herons

I suspect these might be the 2 I saw in the same area
a month or so ago. One was out in the open, the other
hid in the grasses/reeds on the northwest side. I
haven't seen them since, but I haven't spent a lot of
time up there since then.

Speaking of Aquatic Park, my wife and I watched a
female duck (I'm not real good at duck species yet)
herding 9 small chicks in the water along the east
shore Sunday afternoon. Is this a normal number of
hatchlings for ducks? I don't suppose she was
babysitting.
